The Fort Sill National Bank (FSNB) has a rich history that dates back to 1942 when the Fort Sill command requested the City National Bank of Lawton to establish a check cashing facility on the Army post of Fort Sill, which is home to the U.S. Field Artillery School. This initiative laid the groundwork for what would later become FSNB. In 1946, J.R. "Dolph" Montgomery, envisaged the establishment of a full-service bank to cater to the special banking needs of Fort Sill's military personnel. Through hard work and determination, Montgomery founded FSNB on April 19, 1946. The bank's legacy of serving the military community continues to this day under the leadership of Montgomery's grandson, John Davis, who serves as the Chairman of the board, President, and CEO.
